Due to injury, our NWA Australian Wrestling Alliance Heavyweight Champion, Jade Diamond was unable to face Jonah Rock as scheduled last month. The Maori Terminator will be back in action, returning at GRINDHOUSE VIII to take on current #1 contender ‘Jag’ Heartley Jackson’s hand-picked  Zero1 Australia assassin, the returning Robby Heart!
Heart has wrestled extensively throughout Australia and Japan, and has competed twice in Japan’s premiere Independent Junior Heavyweight Tournament, the Zero-One Tenka Ichi, facing many of Japan’s best. Heart has been sent to the GRINDHOUSE with one agenda in mind, to hurt Jade Diamond in preparation for ‘Jag’ Hartley Jackson’s title shot in November.
The GRINDHOUSE faithful’s part-Maori, part-Machine powerhouse Champion, Jade Diamond will be out to prove himself as the strongest Champion in Australian Wrestling, but also will be looking to send a message to Jag!

AJ Istria vs Koi Bombora
The self-proclaimed “Virgin-Warrior” AJ Istria, is looking to test AWA’s top up and comer, The Underwater Alliance’s Koi Bombora.
In his biggest singles opportunity thus far, Koi Bombora will be looking to score the biggest win of his young and promising career.
Will Istria be able to push the youngster to his limit? Or will Koi use his “Licence To Krill” to Just Keep Swimmin’?!

Our big return takes place this Friday May 24th at Tribal Theatre, Brisbane CBD. Following on from our previous successful events, The Grindhouse comes back with a bang. We’d like to officially announce the return of USA TV Wrestling STAR and former NWA World Champion, “Scrap-Iron” Adam Pearce!

This star-studded mega-show will also see both Semi-finals of the prestigious “Q-League” Tag Tournament;

With Block A semi-finals featuring The Rejected of Super Arcade Black, The GIANT Kyote & “Wild” Joe Haze battling The Underwater Alliance of Koi Bombora, Mascara Angler & the debuting Dugong Hasselhoff.

& the Block B Semi-finals seeing The QLD Sekigun of Australian Wolverine & SUPER CYCLONE facing Donnie Saint Michaels’ due of AJ Istria & a secret surprise team-mate from Australian Wolverine’s past.

GRINDHOUSE Wrestling Part IV “Rise of the Fish” Official Results!

So this amazing event has come & gone, enjoyed by all & highlighted by some great wrestling, raunchy Burlesque dancing & of course, FISH!

So here’s the results…

* The Underwater Alliance of Mascara Angler & Koi Bombora defeated the Marsupial Militia of Combat Wombat & special one-night only militant, Lucas Gold to advance in the prestigious “Q-League” Tag Tourney

* QLD Sekigun’s Australian Wolverine defeated The Rejected’s “Giant” Kyote

* The debuting Samoan Whetu scored an upset win over The Rejected’s “Wild” Joe Haze, following an unintentional assist, whereby Joe was accidentally struck with a lead pipe by his own team-mate

Regardless of the loss, Joe continued the Rejected’s grudge against the QLD Sekigun by calling out SUPER CYCLONE, revealing to all in attendance that this man is not their “hero” at all & that CYCLONE is & always will be Joe’s brother, Josh Haze! Joe Promised CYCLONE that “Vengeance is coming”.

* Johnny Lukas defeated Kelso Kahoniz

* In an impromptu match, The Rejected challenged the Sydney City Saints of Ben “The Damager” Farrar & Spaceman Dacey – the match was short-lived as Farrar quickly turned on his partner, becoming The Rejected’s newest member. Following a brutal 4-on-1 assault on Spaceman, The Rejected once again stood tall (much to the dismay of the rowdy Grindhouse faithful)

* ‘THE’ Chad Skyze defeated QLD Sekigun’s SUPER CYCLONE in a close-fought & exciting battle

* “The Maori Terminator” Jade Diamond defeated former champion Jesse Daniels in a “George Street-Fight” for the NWA-AWA Heavyweight Championship

*AJ Istria & Chris Achilles defeated Zero1 Australia’s top guns, “Jag” Hartley Jackson & Robby Heart to advance in the Q-League Tourney. Achilles was injured early on in the match, but Istria was still able to battle back and score the win for his team in an epic main event to close the show.

We now approach GRINDHOUSE Wrestling Part V – back at Tribal Theatre on May 24th, appropriately entitled “The Rejected Strike Back” as we have received word from The Rejected that they promise to be back in force following their temporary setback at GRINDHOUSE IV, with a display of dominance never before seen in Australian Wrestling!

Today, we are proud to announce the 2nd & BIGGEST match for GRINDHOUSE Wrestling III:

On March 2 at the Mansfield Rock Arena, we will be crowning a new number one contender to the NWA AWA Heavyweight Championship with a HUGE 15-man Rumble! For many this will be their first big shot at getting a shot at the title. Stay tuned over the coming days, as we will announce the participants. The first entrant is an up & coming “fishy-fan-favourite” who, following an injury to his Underwater Alliance partner Mascara Angler, is on the brink of moving into the singles main event picture, and a big win in this Rumble will get them there!

Koi Bombora

With impressive outtings at Whiplash, and scoring his first win in a big tag-team bout at GRINDHOUSE II, Koi Bombora has made a splash in 2013 already! After coming within a hair’s breadth of winning the title at Whiplash 1, this could be Koi’s big chance to cash in!

We here at the GRINDHOUSE have decided that today we will announce TWO matches for the big December 14 show!

The Giant Kyote vs Ben Damage

The two biggest men in Queensland wrestling collide for the first time ever in one on one competition! A relative new comer to Queensland Wrestling, Ben Damage has used his 6’4 130kg frame to his advantage, dominating all those who have faced him. A veteran of Queensland Wrestling, The Giant Kyote has held titles all over the country, and has faced some of the toughest men this country has seen! At 6’11 and 190kg, Kyote is the most physically imposing figure in Australian wrestling today.

Who will come out on top in this battle of behemoths?

The Underwater Alliance of Coy Bombora and Mascara Angler vs The QLD Icons of Titan Mask and Flyin’ Lion

Hailing from the greastest barrier reef in the ocean, Coy Bombora and Mascara Angler are set to bring their “strong ocean style” to the GRINDHOUSE. The coy and angler fish combo make a swimming fit to the GRINDHOUSE roster, and are ready to make their names known in Queensland wrestling. Their opponents will be no push over, as they go head to head with Titan Mask and Flyin Lion Pillman. With the spirit of Queensland behind them, The Icons are set to rise through the ranks of the NWA-AWA.
